Things the deserve/give the stink-eye:

←Tell me you've been to Canadian Tire without telling me you've been to Canadian Tire.

Um, yikes. Canadian Tire garden and lawn statues are next level disturbing. Who is paying hundreds of dollars for these resin abominations?

Need an obviously fake panda in a bamboo cage? Get it at CT. Need a gnome doing yoga? Also at CT. Or in this case, an owl with Graves disease? I must ask you, CT, have you ever seen an owl? Because let's be honest: in this case, your lawn crimes are owl of control. 😜

  2. ...I'm often "owl of control," but not with resin abominations.

  3. Not sure why a tire shop would sell whimsical animals, but then again, Canada truly is its own beast.

    1. Canadian Tire is legendary for it's stock but also for these quirky nightmares, ha.

  5. Hah! Well the heron in our backyard is a very good CT acquisition at least.

  6. Now you've piqued my interest. No, I don't want that owl, but it sounds like a fun place. LOL!

  7. Better to have those at a tire shop in Canada than the creatures we have crawling around in the U.S. Linda in Kansas

    1. Yup, I suspect mass production with underpaid labour practices is at play here too.

  9. It might do the job of frightening off other birds, like grackles, that flock and hog the feeders. It certainly repels me.

  11. That's hilarious. People here put up really large owl statues on their roof to keep other birds away.

  12. I will say I've been to Canadian Tire (in fact, I picked up my Canada T-shirts and hat there!). But alas, I left the tacky garden statuary behind. Good thing!

  13. We have a Tractor Supply here and lots of fun stuff like that. Even their Halloween stuff is fun. Way over-priced. Fun to look at.
