Wordfuse (Not-so-Savvy Version)
nonnoisseur (noun): non + connoisseur = one who is devoid of expertise in a variety of categories; an individual who is an expert at nothing yet still inspires/expects/is afforded a certain level of regard; the nonnoisseur may not even be aware of these shortcomings.
For a fictional example, see Michael Scott, the most clueless boss ever on The Office. Real-life nonnoisseurs seem to include a distressing number of celebrities. Examples abound but for careful analysis one may see most of the competitors on The Celebrity Apprentice. Or sadly, see also a variety of historical leaders.

oh dear, i think i could fit into the nonnoisseur category at times. but now that i'm aware of it, i'll try to avoid it in the future. i don't want to remind anyone of paris hilton.
Nonno!
AKA charmelatan. Charm + Charlatan.
Michael Scott is the perfect example, yes. Sad to see him go. What about Cliff Claven?
I don't know if you've heard the following saying or not but here it is anyway "Jack of all trades, master of none" :-).
This made me think of me and multi-tasking which is {according to she-who-must-be-obeyed} the art of screwing many things up at the same time.
Love the Michael Scott example. I would say the majority of the talking heads that pass for journalists these days are nonnoisseurs.
Am I the only one now craving non-dairy fromage?
I like to think of myself as a hockey Nonnoisseur.
GO HABS GO.
This is so me... Is this good or bad?
@Sherilin I could too. Paris Hilton is a good example of what happens when you combine a lack of humility with a nonnoisseur.
@AC Clever.
@Chelle Nice work.
@Cheeseboy Cliff Claven? Exactly.
@Windsmoke That works.
@Alistair I can relate.
@Tim You're probably right.
@Elly Ha!
@KevD Don't worry. Your enthusiasm for the Habs might trump your lack of skills.
@Missy I think most of us feel like nonnoisseurs in a variety of ways but I think it's only bad if you're an asshole about it.
dbs, took awhile, but I finally gave you a thank you for talking me into this "dorky fun". Thank you.
LOVED this. Adding it to my lexicon.
