  3. Snow is so pretty. I can't wait to see it for real one day...

Then promptly return to the warm & sunny tropics after nearly catching frostbite.

With my luck that's probably exactly how it would go.

  4. Looks like the Edmonton river valley to me! All those stairs! *groan*

  5. Is there something interesting at the top of those stairs? I'd hate to climb up them and suffer an anticlimax.

  6. He knows what needs saying and how to say it, doesn't he? The Little Prince is required re-reading in my home each Christmas. Oh, and I was recently introduced to another Antoine de Saint-Exupery book (no accident the 'saint' in his name) that I didn't know about - you probably do, but here it is, in case. . . 'Wind, Sand and Stars'.

". . . In the sky a thousand stars are magnetized, and I lie glued by the swing of the planet to the sand. A different weight brings me back to myself. I feel the weight of my body drawing me towards so many things. My dreams are more real than these dunes, than that moon, than these presences…Behind all seen things lies something vaster; everything is but a path, a portal or a window opening on something other than itself. . . "

Thanks, dbs - may 2103 bring you all good things.
