Pictures have always spoken to me. I think in pictures. I tote pictures around in my head like carry-on luggage, I keep them close so they are safe. Because for me they whisper and yell and nudge and assault. In silence. I feel tethered to them. One of my favourite quotes is by artist Paul Klee: "a line is a dot that went for a walk."
I feel that pull.
I stumbled upon this picture this morning and it is exactly how I feel today. So succinct.
Exactly.
And I'm curious...what does it mean to you?

I can relate to that feeling, too. But today the cloud above my head would be a murky alphabet soup swirling in a bowl and I'd be on the edge of the vortex clutching on to noodle letters for dear life. Probably why I haven't posted in days.
Hi dbs - you've got me thinking. . . This little line drawing/thought bubble looks like a heart raining - words, potential words, or 'potential' full stop.
Paul Klee's words are favorites over here, too.

I love that Paul Klee quote. Having the mind of a 3rd grader, it looks like a word balloon post-laxative.
great quote...as for this pic it kind of sums up how I felt when I met my wife...all the carefully staged words just fell away
Just being honest, but I don't get it, which surprises me, since I pride myself on being an "outside-of-the-box" thinker. :) I do love the quote you shared.
Pretty sure that's a depiction of my thought process on not enough sleep. Also?i need more sleep.
To me, that's often a thought about five seconds after I've had it.
It means that I want to share what's in my head with people. Which I think is a scary proposition if you live with me.
It also helps a lot to have a cell phone with a camera. 'Cause sometimes those words need a little visual help.....
Brain flush.
