Wordfuse (Cold Weather Edition)

tuckled (verb, past participle): chuckle + tucked = that dreamy, mushy, sentimental-pleasant feeling one experiences on the couch all safely tucked into a big blanket when someone you love sits down next to you and says something that makes you chuckle because it's witty or goofy or ridiculously random such as "Frick bacon's expensive." This feeling is enhanced when one's outside temperature is -30 degrees Celsius like it is here right now. (Try not to think about this last part too much because it might kill that all-tuckled-in awesomeness, because that is my wish for you peeps this weekend.)

  8. I do not miss 30 below. But you know that's nothin'. It's not 45 below.

    People here go bonkers as soon as it gets below 20. Then I feel pretty tough.

    There is something to it being too cold to go outside, though. Your blanket seems cozier and your sweetheart seems sweetier. Your couch is couchier and the jokes are funnier.

  11. This word is perfection. Can I still use it if it's 50 degrees outside? It's raining, if that helps.

    @Chelle Really? I thought it got that cold in your new province. And so true, as you know, this is nothing. And, your sentence filled with comparatives is so awesome it makes it warmer here. Thank you.
    @AC I'd last about 15 minutes. And I completely agree that Vinny needs to turn up the heat.
    @Sherilin Coziness. Nice.
    @DP Absolutely. The rain counts. (Oh how I long for a nice spring rain again.)

    @LoC It's not so bad although people here get very very antsy if it remains for too long. It's -28 this morn so people will be getting antsy very soon.

  18. I bet you're not wearing a kilt in that weather. Brrrrr.

    Makes me feel like a winp complaining about the cold here. The big difference is the damp factor of our weather so I'm told.

    Stay warm - and thanks - that fair tuckled my fancy!!!

  19. Nope. But I'd feel way "cooler" if I were. And yes, I imagine the humidity is a killer during winter there but nevertheless, I'm glad you're tuckled pink.
