Things one should never outgrow:

Thanks for the reminder, L
politeness, charm, civility.

Potty-training is challenging, but my grandson is teaching me a few things I suspect we should all review periodically.

After his first BM in the toilet, and before he received several Smarties, my grandson (altogether sincerely) had this to say about that first flushing, "Bye-bye poop. Have a good day." 😄

You triggered a memory. My daughter used to wave at hers, "Bye bye, poop!!" Kids are endlessly trippy, aren't they?

  5. I still say goodbye to a lot of poop, but I don't generally wish those people a good day.
    Maybe I should.

  6. There is metaphorical poop that I would like to wish Godspeed.

  7. Those poops need a good send-off, I agree with your grandson.

  10. oh we went through nearly a year trying to get our youngest grandson potty trained. Then overnight he was fully potty trained day and night, just after his fourth birthday!! Even smarties didn't do the trick!!! I am so glad all our grandkids are now out of diapers.........

  11. Very sweet! I mean, I also hope the poop has a good day, but I’ve never thought to say it. ;)
