And then there's a sun-dog.
And then you discover there are people in the world who invent things like this.
And then you help your kids with a problem. (Or someone else.)
And then they look at you like you're a big piece of chocolate cake.
And then friends come over. With guacamole.
And then someone writes something kind on your blog.
And then someone brings you a blanket, just because.
And then you notice that sometimes, somehow, the world just conspires to make you happy.
And I deserve it.
And you do too. (Notice.)

When everything seems to go to shit, it's always wise to take comfort in the little things.
Good old friends. It's never as bad as you think..!
True. We should always remember the good.
those friends with guacamole can make all the difference in the world.
ninja gingerbread men rule!
Cool post...the sun always rises :)
@Luke Exactly.
@diana We should.
@Sherilin Guacamole just helps.
@G I thought they were a pretty clever invention too.
When your world turns against you eat chocolate it helps :-).
It's those people who care that make the difference.
Sending you a virtual hug..
*HUG*
Ha ha, love those ninjabread men cookie cutters!
Group hug.
Ninja cookie cutters are cool.
I saw some Star Wars ones a while back as well.
I guess I'm an optimist. No matter how bad things get, there's always something that comes around and reminds you of the good things in life.
Friends, family, and sleeping in.
@Windsmoke Chocolate is always a good idea.
@alittlesprite Thanks. Sending it back.
@AC Oops. Are you thinking I'm feeling blue. I'm not. I just wanted to remark on the way people suddenly appear to brighten the day. Like you grinputters do.
@OT Yeah. I like those mostly because my son and I like to do ninja moves on each other. We're both 12, I guess.
@AP Ditto.
You're thinking that I'm thinking that...lost my train of thought. Perchance, we think too much? ;)
My "group hug" was an appreciation for things and people that just spontaneously bring light.
Today, a return pair of birds reclaimed an old nest. *clap*
If I knew what do do with them, I like the Ninja thingy cutters.
A warm blanket, a good book and sugar cereal in the morning are the best things in the world to get a person out of a funk. And prozac.
I needed that. Can I crawl under that blanket with you and spoon in a strictly platonic way?
Just load up the happy bus, okay I'm in a crappy mood. But I'll take your advice to heart.
sigh... i could definitely use the blanket and kind words. i want to be someone's chocolate cake again.
@AC We might be two of a kind this way.
@Sarah Well said.
@EllyLou Mos Def. My wife will have to join us though. I'm sure she'll be fine with that. Er, that sounded bad, didn't it? Anyhoo....
@MrsTuna No one has to be happy all the time. That's nuts.
@manders Everyone deserves that.
Guacamole is always a game changer.
Yay! Just, yay. I'm grinning.
And then you snuggle your wife, and she snuggles you back, and for some reason, the kitty is feeling affectionate and comes to snuggle too.
really, I'd be ecstatic with just the guacamole and the blanket. You have a multitude of blessings heaped on your doorstep. The nicest thing is you recognize it. Just one reason I like hanging out here (even though the word "stew" makes me a tad anxious)
dbs. Yup.:)
KevD, not the kitten...awwww.
Those are the best days to be alive. You really have to savor them and seek them out.
Someone brought you a blanket, just because? That is a most inventive gesture and no wonder it made your list. No one ever brought me a blanket, but my mother made me two afghans and a quilt some decades ago and I think they count.
This is a good antidote to this miserably long, #$%@ed up winter. Today, I promise to only complain about the weather two times instead of eight.
@Cheeseboy Yes. It. Is.
@Nicole That makes me happy.
@KevD That was perfect until the cat came in.
@AC *clap*
@christopher Yup.
@Lydia Yes. That counts.
@Michael Considering the weather, I would have accepted three.
