Soup is good. I love vegetarian food. Therefore I make veggie soup. Lots. But why do these all-vegetable bouillon cubes need to be marketed as "chicken style?"
This reminds me of vegetarian hot dogs. Or vegetarian chicken wings. Why waste your vegetarian time making vegetarian food look like non-vegetarian food? I don't get it.

I've often wondered this also. I guess maybe some vegetarians miss meat and feel deprived.
Agreed. But we also have to agree that...those chickens have style.
If you are a true vegetarian, you don't want to eat something that tastes like meat.
100% right dbs. Don't get that either.....
Vegetarian bacon? Wot's that all about then.......?
I think it's because at some point you reach the end of the vegetable taste spectrum and tofu inherently doesn't have a taste, so why not branch out? The shapes? You got me there. Maybe it's the same as why fruit snacks (those kids gummmi treats) are shaped like fruit.
Maybe it is for the new converts? The ones who what to go veggie, but are just starting out and may have cravings? It doesn't make sense to me either. When I eat veggies, I want them to taste like veggies!
eeeeew.....what EXACTLY gives it a chicken STYLE??? There is no vegetable that tastes like chicken!!!!! It's some hideous flavouring invented in a lab!
It's catering to us fence sitters: Those of us who like vegetarianism, but also enjoy steak. It's trying to tell us we can have our cake and eat it too.
Hmmm. Good question. Maybe to get someone like me to try it?
Well, that's a good question to which I have no answer.
That's why I am NOT a vegetarian.
Cause when I buy a chicken, it doesn't say "vegetarian style"
(tee,hee)
