She said I could share.

My daughter has been singing since she could talk. Her singing has a remarkable effect on me. There's that line from Othello, "O, she will sing the savageness out of a bear." I believe music, and all artforms, makes us suddenly more sweetly alive, suddenly separated from the day's ordinary-ness, the day's difficulties. Life just slips away. And it's doubly, doubly so when listening to someone you love sing, sing, sing....

  8. I wish my girls were as proud of my singing as you are of your girl. But Oh No! As soon as I start belting out songs about potty, cooking dinner and wanting to be Amish, they get all, "Moooommmmmm! Please Stop!!" They just don't appreciate my insane burst-into-a-song Rodgers and Hammerstein talent.

That being said, your girl has an amazing set of pipes! Thanks for sharing!

  14. The first time I heard her sing, I think she was 9 and it made me cry. I am not a sappy human being and it made me cry. She is so very talented. In my opinion, the most talented person coming out of Mtown.

  15. @Chelle Thank you. You're always been so kind to her. I cry too. And don't kid yourself: you are the most talented person who once lived in Mtown.
