Let's be (too) honest.

Sometimes the people we're forced to live with family members can be a tad too candid can't they?

My teen son says that I'm getting so old that this is what I look like when I sleep. He says it also explains how I developed a nasty sty [see clip from Yes Man below].

I say I wouldn't sleep like I'm catatonic if I weren't so stressed from raising teenagers. I say I highly recommend marriage, but kids? Nope. I say other things too, but by then everyone has left the room. Bummer.

I know it's been a while but you could still try taking it back to the shop and asking for a refund......

Or you could get out the photo albums and start hanging embarrassing photo's around the house in a tasteful wee exibhition entitled "Up yours sunshine!"

I had my hair cut over the weekend and hubby didn't notice but my teenage son did. He said, nice hair cut mom! Maybe they are just observant and see things adults don't.

You immediately evicted him, right? Or at least asked why he watches you while you sleep. That's terrifying. I have nightmares about teenagers watching me sleep.

Tell him "That's funny... I'm pretty sure your eyebrows are accidentally going to be shaved off in your sleep tonight... weird eh?"

If that doesn't do it, just start throwing a bucket of water on him in the middle of the night.

It tickles me to think of this being your sleeping face. Sorry.

No one said old age would be pretty. Your teen is just seeing his future, tell him.

It'll come back to bite your kid in the butt. I used to tell my mother all the crazy things she did. Now, my husband points it out to me when I do those very same things.

Remind him that most things are genetic
