Settle.

Sits. Stills. Stares. All verbs.
Settle: to calm, relieve, relax, quiet, soothe, still.

There's always so much life swirling around with work and family and projects and commitments and so on.

I wait for life to settle. And I love it when it does. Like these last few days.

And then I realized something. Settle is a verb. I keep waiting for things to settle but then I remember: it's me. I have to settle them. I have to settle myself.

"Creep in our ears soft stillness." ~Shakespeare

You can only settle things yourself for a short time then something else will crop up to unsettle you that's life :-).

It would be nice to settle.

Umm.... it's also a noun. {A settle is an English word for a sofa - certainly not much heard these days though}

@LoC Thanks.
@DSWS Yes it might be.
@Windsmoke True. Ongoing process.
@Alistair More verb than noun.
@TheC'sC I need to remember this too.
@sprite Yes it would. Do it right now.
@Michael I know how you're feeling. That's the tough part but only you can answer that.

Ah, very true. We have to "allow" ourselves to settle. LET things settle around us.
Like the song from Zac Brown (love them) QUIET YOUR MIND.
